Tone & Texture
iPixel & Impact™
Smooth, balanced skin – with minimal downtime
As we age, the tone and texture of our skin changes. Fine lines and wrinkles begin to appear, age spots and blemishes may develop, and the texture of our skin can become coarse and uneven.
Harmony’s Tone & Texture treatments use light and laser-based skin resurfacing technologies to smooth out and balance the skin- improving overall skin tone, elasticity and texture and reducing superficial pigmentation and pore size, while helping to bolster the skin against future ageing.
Results can be augmented even further with Harmony’s exclusive Impact™ module, using acoustic wave technology to deliver specially-designed topical ingredients to the deeper layers of the skin. The treatments are safe and effective and are suitable for all skin types.
FAQs
Q: Tell me about iPixel?
Unlike traditional ablative laser resurfacing which removes the entire top layer of the skin, iPixel Er:YAG employs a fractional delivery method which creates pixel-sized perforations in the skin, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This allows the skin to heal faster as the epidermis is regenerated. Uneven skin tone, scars, superficial pigmentation and coarse, uneven skin texture can be dramatically improved using iPixel.
Q: Is iPixel uncomfortable to have?
You might feel slight discomfort having iPixel treatment compared to our other laser treatments, but the utmost care will be taken to make sure you are comfortable at all times.
Q: Is there any downtime after iPixel?
Immediately after treatment, there may be heat of moderate intensity and excessive redness and swelling at the treatment area, and this may feel like mild sunburn. This may continue for the next few days. Downtime can vary from person to person but we say it can be up to sevens days until it’s better. We will provide you with a detailed advice sheet to take home called ‘What to expect, do (and don’t do) after your iPixel treatment’ which will explain everything.
Q: Do I need a course of treatments with iPixel?
On average, clients require three treatments, once every four weeks. Some clients may need more than one course. Our laser specialist will advise you in your initial consultation what course of treatment she recommends.
Q: Tell me about Impact™?
Harmony’s exclusive Impact™ module uses ultrasound technology to deliver specially-designed topical ingredients to the deeper layers of the skin.
Q: How does Impact™ work?
The Impact™ module emits acoustic waves and air pressure, pushing the topical compounds through the micro-channels. The acoustic vibrations create a push and pull effect within the channels, releasing the buildup of intracellular fluid and allowing the active ingredients to reach the targeted tissue depth.
